I have set up a number of classes in Buxton to cover aspects of learning to sew, refreshing knowledge or furthering individual skill level. There are several machines for use and initially all materials are provided. From learning to use a sewing machine – soft furnishing – various techniques – clothing – embroidery but always with a background awareness of the environment and sustainability. At present they are mostly short regular classes developing according to the needs of the individuals but shortly there will be specialized workshops covering -checking fit and altering patterns, bag making and purse frames, embroidery, machine embroidery…. The intention is to support confidence and skills within a supportive setting. Please phone for more details and to check dates; currently Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings.
