The PRS for Music Foundation has two funding streams:
Funding for Organisations and Groups: Through this scheme, the Foundation aims to support groups and organisations of all sizes. They offer support across all genres of new music.
If you are any of the following, you are able to apply for funding through this scheme:
band/ensemble/orchestra
collective
festival/promoter
charity
community interest company
company limited by guarantee
local authority
school, college or university.
Their funding includes support of commissions of new music by UK-based creators, exciting community projects that reach new audiences, touring, music that uses exciting new developments in technology, music creator residencies and live programmes featuring UK new music. Individuals: If you are any of the following, working in any genre, with at least 18 months professional experience, you are able to apply for funding through this scheme:
Solo performer
Solo songwriter or composer
Individual promoter or event producer
Their funding supports songwriters and composers who want to create new work for live performance, performers who would like to commission music to be played live, individuals promoting outstanding new music events, and touring.
