DerwentWISE Grants

The scheme is offering a number of small grants for a wide range of projects in the DerwentWISE landscape.
Deadline: 2nd February 2017

DerwentWISE is a Heritage Lottery Funded partnership programme, working to conserve, enhance and restore the distinctive landscape character and heritage of the Lower Derwent Valley – from Matlock Bath to Derby City.

The scheme is offering a number of small grants for a wide range of exciting and innovative community projects that help people look after, learn about, access, and celebrate the DerwentWISE landscape in an enjoyable and rewarding way.

We’re currently welcoming applications from creative groups or artists working with local communities.

The community engagement grant scheme provides small grants of up to £1,000 to support communities to connect with the Lower Derwent Valley landscape in different ways. It focuses on supporting new groups to set up, or existing groups to run initiatives – in the past this has included walks, talks, training and workshops.

The community access grants scheme provides funding of between £1,000 and £5,000. Landowners and local community groups can apply for this fund to improve access and interpretation to natural, social and industrial heritage across the DerwentWISE area.
The deadline for applications for the next round is 2nd February 2017.
