  • The event is will take place inside a cave in Matlock Bath and will premiere two new compositions by experimental classical composer Eliane Radigue and electronic producer Lee Gamble.  The music will be performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra and broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

  • Derby LIVE and Little Wolf Entertainment are delighted to announce that Derby-born Gwen Taylor will be playing the Enchantress in this year’s spectacular family pantomime. The enchanting French musical ‘tale as old as time’, Beauty and the Beast will be staged at Derby Arena from Tuesday 5 to Sunday 31 December 2017.

    The first Buxton Comedy Festival is on its way to the town this summer, as part of a 4-day event (31 Aug to 3 Sep), sponsored by Thornbridge Brewery. The barrels of beer and laughter ‘combo’ is the brainchild of Buxton Opera House, where many of the events will take place – alongside its sister venue, the Pavilion Arts Centre.

  • The Higher Level Stewardship (Natural England) project for Sinfin Moor Park has been completed, supported by Friends of Sinfin Moor Park LNR and Derby Parks Volunteers. The project is part of the restoration of the native wildflower meadows within the balancing pond and pylon fields. Part of this includes grazing fields with a low number of cattle in late summer and early autumn.

We've recently welcomed both Ecclesbourne Secondary School and Ambergate Primary School, as well as had evening visits from local Beavers and Rainbows groups over the last few months.

Open for all ages of people with disability or learning difficulty, these sessions are innovative and engaging. They allow for exploring a variety of art mediums to spark creativity and expression whilst encouraging socialising and learning new skills.
