Arts Council Changes to Grants for the Arts
Changes to Grants for the Arts
Arts Council England will be making changes to the Grants for the Arts programme which come into effect on 20 May 2008. Key differences are: three new additions to the eligibility criteria; changes to the application form; and changes to how applications will be assessed. The main focus of Grants for the Arts remains individuals and smaller arts organisations, although larger organisations and regularly funded organisations can still apply. Existing requirements for RFO applications still pertain.
ACE writes:
"A new application pack has been produced, and this is now available on-line at www.artscouncil.org.uk. The current application pack is also still available online. We will continue to receive applications made on the current pack until 5pm Friday 9 May 2008. We will not accept applications on the current pack after this time.Between 10 May and 19 May inclusive we will not process any new applications. This is to allow us to log any applications received on or before 9 May and to amend our internal database to reflect changes in the programme.
We will accept applications made using the new application pack only from Tuesday 20 May 2008. We understand that applicants need time to plan and complete their applications which is why the new application form is available now.
Any application received on the new application pack before 20 May will not be processed until after that date. Any application received on the old application pack after 9 May will be rejected as ineligible."
