Derbyshire Festivals Forum Networking Event
 
Including the launch of an Online Festival's Toolkit

We would like to invite you to a Festivals Forum event.  This social networking event is open for all festival organisers across Derbyshire, as well as individuals and organisations interested in the sector.  The Festivals Forum aims to encourage collaboration, planning, communication and income generation within the sector.  Forum members are able to share best practice and collaborate on areas such as programming or wider marketing initiatives.

Derbyshire County Council, on behalf of Derbyshire Arts Partnership, has commissioned an Online Festivals Toolkit, developed by experienced event organisers and consultants, which provides a wide range of information and guidance for all festivals for effectively managing an event.  The toolkit covers all stages from developing the initial concept through to the evaluation and includes details of regional contacts and examples of good practice including topics such as:

Artistic programming
Fundraising
Sponsorship
Marketing and e-marketing, including printed publicity
Ticketing
Volunteering
Budgeting/accounts
Contracting/legal and Insurance
Access and diversity
Licensing
Health & Safety, including Risk Assessment
Constitutional arrangements and legal standing 
 

The Toolkit will be launched at the event and you will have a chance to preview and discuss the content with the authors and other festival organisers.
