  • An award-winning artist from Derbyshire has been commissioned by Lancashire County Cricket Club as their official artist capturing this year’s Investec Ashes Series.

  • Buxton Festival has established a Young Artists Programme involving eight talented young singers, who, having completed their musical training are taking their first steps in the world of professional opera.

    The eight young artists will act as understudies for roles in the Festival operas and, in addition, will take part in a number of performances during the Festival’s run, from 5 to 21 July.

  • Taking place throughout 2013 Taking the Lead supports young people’s development through leadership opportunities in and around music making.  The project sees young people developing their leadership skills through musical activity within youth and school settings before taking music-making into care homes within their own locality. As part of this programme, we are offering FREE CPD for current and aspiring music leaders on Friday 10th May 2013 or Thursday 18th July 2013 delivered by Nick Cutts of OPUS Music CIC.
