Nicci Wilson

I am a qualified art teacher & trainer and have fifteen years experience of working as a community artist in the East Midlands.

As well as regularly running visual art workshops in the community, I have also got experience of managing several projects both at home and abroad.
I have worked with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and am a UNICEF education facilitator.
I am also author of 'The heART of West Africa: textiles & global issues" and am part of a local exhibiting art group called 'SLANG'.

I have ran a wide range of workshops for:-
families & pre-school children, schools & youth clubs; young adults with:
a school exclusion, social services, special needs, teenage mums; adults with: mental health issues, substance misuse, homeless, disabled, over 60's.

My workshops focus on increasing self-esteem and developing self-expression through the mediums of mural/painting, mixed media collage, photography, printing, textiles, installation, performance, assemblage.
