a festival of storytelling for all the family

Come and hear tales of dragons, fairies, pirates, magic and mystery from both East and West told by some of our favourite storytellers including Debbie Guneratne, Pete Castle and Pete Chand, as well as exciting local newcomers Sophie Snell and Catherine Rogers. There'll be creative activities too as well as a chance to meet Derbyshire's past and present Poet Laureates.
Some of the performances will be BSL signed for the benefit of Deaf children.
This event is organised by Amber Valley Borough Council Arts Department and Derbyshire County Council Countryside Service.

Jasvinder Sanghera’s bestselling memoir Shame, detailed her experiences of how she escaped forced marriage. Her second book, Daughters of Shame, is soon to be published. It tells the stories of other women Jasvinder has come into contact with, and supported, through Karma Nirvana a community-based charity that supports South Asian women affected by domestic violence and honour-based crimes.
