The recent style of my watercolour paintings is entitled “Images of Japan” was first created in the new year of 2000. I wanted to give an insight into my own images of where I came from and express my past for the new millennium. It has now transformed into a search about myself, and at the moment my main interest is “Water and its Elusive Movements”. So seascapes, waterfalls, streams and Golden Carp are some of my subjects, although I continue to use broad and sensitive brushwork to paint other subjects such as flowers and trees that are subjects I still love to paint.
