Information
My current project is called Seachange. We are all drawn to the sea... It is a response to the lives and deaths of sea fishing communities, particularly in the north east of England. I was considering connections between the land and the sea, men and women, craft and work, folklore and fact, life and death; the extremity of their lives on the edge, and the very powerful sense of belonging. As well as the stitch drawings shown here, I also make drawings, collages and original prints of subjects inspired by evocative places, folklore and historical fact.
