Information

Derby-based 1623 performs Shakespeare and facilitates Shakespeare workshops for all audiences and participants in all spaces. Performances have taken place in an award-winning show garden, a peakland cavern, a public art gallery, rural village halls, inner-city schools, a town square and a disused quarry. Audiences and participants have included community groups, students, festival-goers, gardeners, youth theatres, Business Champions, and The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. 1623 is developing a 3-year business plan to secure sustainability and work on areas including education, rehabilitation, rural touring and health.
