Lynn Ludditt is a renowned writer and award winning trainer, but she is also passionately involved in the performing arts.

Lynn participates in many drama based workshops in different community settings bringing her writing skills to the fore.

A gap-year theatre company, offering performance experience to talented and committed young people between the ages of 18 and 25.

Derby Gilbert and Sullivan Company
Non-professional theatre company that performs the works of G&S world wide.  6 times overall winners of the International G&S Festival.

The Ritz Cinema
The small, but perfectly formed Ritz Cinema in Belper is a special place to spend cosy nights in old-world cinema surroundings.

Maison Foo
Maison Foo Theatre Company is a collective of performers and artists based in Derbyshire creating new and interesting theatre for the East Midlands and beyond.

Kananda
Kananda works in audience development by taking Indian cinema and cultural artforms to new audiences.

Thirty Frames Per Second

  • Bonsall and District Film Society: Showing an eclectic mix of films, from old classics like 'Brief Encounter' to the best of world cinema like 'Tsotsi'

  • Holymoorside Film Mid-week Movies: Film and a glass of wine at the Village Hall

  • Holymoorside Film Fourth Friday Films: Offers popular big screen films in local community cinema

  • Tideswell Cinema: Cinema Club in Tideswell showing a film a month Sept-Feb.

Theatre and Film groups and arts organisations

  • 1623 Theatre Company: Perform Shakespeare in non-traditional theatre spaces to engage new and existing audiences with the playwright's inspirational language, vibrant characters and exciting sense of theatre

  • Derby Deaf Drama: Through the company deaf adults are able to get involved in the life of theatre from acting and directing to backstage support

  • Mickleover Players: An amateur group that stage plays and pantomimes at Murray Park School

  • Oddsocks Productions: Tour nationally twice a year with accessible, family-friendly classic plays and stories -- open-air in the summer and arts centres in the winter

  • QUAD cinema: Provides facilities and services that connect people and businesses to art and film, creating opportunities for entertainment, education and participation

  • Babbling Vagabonds Storytelling Theatre: Create theatre productions for theatres, non-traditional performance spaces, schools, and other community places

  • Toothpix: Create innovative films with young people, promotion of the arts and dealing with sensitive issues

Film and post production companies, and development agencies

  • Film City Productions: A community production house which offers workshop and services in Digital Arts/Media Production

  • Light Films: Produce a variety of film and video work from corporate and training to award winning shorts
